MWR-WE13N Wired Controller User Settings.
The Additional User Functions settings on Samsung wired controllers are access via a series of menus once the user set button is pressed. While easily accessed, without referencing the user manual menu, functions like count down timers, temperature limits and button locks can be accidentally set.
While the additional user functions can be quite useful in some applications, accidental activations on these functions can cause the perception that a fault is occurring with the air conditioner. Most commonly, the countdown timer is an additional user function that is accidentally set, as this is activated in the first menu. With the countdown timer set, the unit will turn of once the set time has expired. If issues are being experienced with the unit turning itself off, temperature set point can’t be adjusted or a button is restricted that used to work, a review of the additional users functions would be the first place to start.
